JAMB Suspends Law Programme at Fountain University

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has suspended the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme at Fountain University, Osogbo, for the 2025/26 academic session.

This decision follows an additional submission from the Council of Legal Education (CLE), making Fountain University the ninth institution to face suspension.

This announcement comes barely 48 hours after JAMB suspended law programmes in eight other Nigerian universities for violating regulatory procedures. The affected universities include:

Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin; Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State; Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State; Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State; Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State; Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo, Cross River State; Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State,Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State

The suspension at the Nigerian Police Academy will last for two academic sessions (2025/2026 and 2026/2027).

This decision seeks to maintain high academic standards and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
