NYSC: Corps Members

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed, has advised corps members to focus on adding value to their host communities.

Ahmed amplified the importance of respecting local cultures and traditions, and quickly integrating with the community after leaving the orientation camps.

He also warned corps members against engaging in misconduct and negative behaviours that could jeopardize their future ambitions.

Instead, Ahmed encouraged them to adopt values like diligence, honesty, perseverance, and faith in God, which are essential for a prosperous life.

Ahmed, during his address to the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream Two Corps Members at Kano State Orientation Camp and Katsina State Orientation Camp, urged corps members to initiate community development projects that improve the standards of living of their hosts.

The NYSC Kano State Coordinator reported that 1,821 corps members had adjusted to camp life, demonstrating discipline and commitment to duty.

Similarly, the NYSC Katsina State Coordinator reported 1,414 registered corps members, with officials praising their high spirits and active participation in Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development training.
