Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State is currently presiding over the North West Governors Forum meeting at Katsina House, Abuja.
The high-level gathering, which convened on Monday, was disclosed in a post by the Chief Press Secretary to the Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed.
In attendance are Governors Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State, and Umar Namadi of Jigawa State. The meeting, held behind closed doors, also features key representatives from the United Nations, including Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed and UN Resident Coordinator Mohammed Malik Fall. Additionally, Maryam Uwais, a UN consultant on North West affairs, is part of the deliberations.
While the agenda remains undisclosed, the presence of top UN officials suggests discussions may focus on pressing regional issues such as security, economic development, and humanitarian interventions in the North West.
