Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has called on President Bola Tinubu to focus on two critical projects in Bauchi State: reviving oil exploration and constructing the Bagel Dam in Dass LGA.
Dogara believes these projects will be crucial in securing Tinubu’s re-election in Bauchi in 2027.
Speaking at the commissioning of a road project in Toro Local Government Area, Dogara argued that these initiatives would stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and enhance infrastructure, ultimately positioning Bauchi as a key economic hub.
Dogara emphasized the significance of the Bagel multipurpose dam, which would supply electricity to all local governments in Bauchi South, driving industrialization and boosting the local economy.
He also highlighted the potential economic benefits of oil production, which would significantly increase federal revenue allocation to Bauchi.
In response to rumors of declining support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi, Dogara dismissed such claims, asserting that the party remains strong despite being in opposition at the state level.
He confidently declared, “APC is very much alive in Bauchi.
“Those who think otherwise are only deceiving themselves.
“When the time comes, we will take back the state”.
