Elon Musk, the billionaire lead at DOGE, has agreed to discuss a proposal for a Department of Government Efficiency Dividend, which could result in tax refunds being sent to every US taxpayer.

The proposal, advanced by Janes Fishback, CEO of Invest Azoria, suggests that 20% of the savings from DOGE would be distributed as tax refunds, while the remaining 80% would be used to pay down the national debt.

“Our proposal for President Trump’s DOGE Dividend would be capped at 20 percent of DOGE’s total Savings, with the other 80 percent used to pay down the national debt”, Fishback stated on X in response to US Senator, Ron Johnson’s acceptance of the proposal.

Musk responded to the proposal on his X account, stating that he would “check with the President.”

If approved by President Donald Trump, the proposal could result in every US taxpayer receiving at least $5,000 from DOGE.
