President Donald Trump is planning to revoke the temporary legal status of approximately 240,000 Ukrainians who fled to the US due to the ongoing conflict with Russia.

This move, expected to take effect as soon as April, would reverse the welcoming stance taken by the Biden administration towards Ukrainians.

The planned rollback is part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to strip legal status from over 1.8 million migrants who entered the US under temporary humanitarian parole programs initiated during Biden’s presidency.

According to reports, the rollback was already in progress before Trump’s public feud with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The US Department of Homeland Security has yet to make an official announcement on the plan.

Meanwhile, the White House and Ukrainian embassy have not commented on the development.
