Enyimba extended their unbeaten run to three games in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a 1-0 win over El-Kanemi Warriors in Aba on Sunday.
Joseph Atule scored the winning goal in the 29th minute.
The victory moved Enyimba up to eighth place on the table with 41 points from 28 matches.
Meanwhile, holders Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Akwa United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Osoba Kabir put Akwa United ahead in the 24th minute, while Isaac Saviour equalized for the hosts three minutes after the break.
In another match, former champions Kano Pillars suffered a 2-0 defeat against Kwara United in Ilorin, with Wasiu Alalade and Wasiu Jimoh scoring for Kwara United.
