Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has expressed doubts about Jadon Sancho’s future at Chelsea.
Gallas who cited his inconsistent performances said Sancho must improve significantly to justify his permanent signing.
Sancho’s loan deal from Manchester United will become permanent if Chelsea finish 14th or higher in the Premier League, with a fee ranging from £22 million to £25 million.
However, Gallas remains unimpressed with Sancho’s display against Arsenal, where Chelsea lost 1-0.
Gallas told Stadium Astro, “Sancho has talent, but we don’t know why he can’t perform. At Dortmund, he was magnificent, but at Manchester United and now Chelsea, he has disappeared.”
Gallas concluded that Sancho must do more to prove himself worthy of staying at Chelsea.
