Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has called on the Reds to sign two new attackers to play alongside Mohamed Salah next season.

Carragher’s comments came after Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United in the FA Cup final on Sunday.

Carragher expressed sympathy for Salah, who was kept quiet during the match, stating that the Egyptian forward lacks support from other attackers.

He amplified that Liverpool’s current attackers are “good players but not great” and that the team needs to strengthen its attacking lineup.

“The lack of pace in attack is glaring. I feel sorry for Mohamed Salah… He doesn’t get help from the other attackers. They need to go and buy two attackers this summer to play alongside Salah,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
