Members of Kogi Central have officially initiated the process to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from the Senate.

The move follows her six-month suspension after she leveled sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Truth Live News gathered that on Monday morning, a petition to recall the embattled senator was submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Abuja. According to sources, over 250,000 voters out of the 480,000 registered electorate in Kogi Central signed the petition, surpassing the legal threshold required for a recall process.

An acknowledgment copy of the petition, submitted by Kogi Central electorates, was made available to Truth Live News, confirming the official commencement of the recall process. The development marks a significant escalation in the political turbulence surrounding Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, whose suspension has been widely debated.
