Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has put across a surprise video call to the World 100m hurdles record holder, Tobi Amusan during which she gushed over her.
She joined millions of people all over the world to congratulate the 25-year-old, who ran a time of 12.12 seconds, shaving almost a tenth of a second off the previous world record in the semi-finals of the World Championships in Oregon on before going on to win gold in the final on Sunday.
The 42-year-old songstress disclosed that she was about picking up her phone to make a celebratory post for Nigeria’s first-ever gold winner at the World Athletics Championships before she got a message from Papa Omisore.
She furthered that Papa informed her that Amusan has been trying to get in touch with her so she decided to do a Face time involving all three of them.
Tiwa, praying for Amusan, thanked her for making Nigerians especially the women proud with her huge win while promising one hundred percent for the athlete.
