Politicians, Religious Leaders Seek To Choose Omo-Agege As Governor In Delta

In preparation for the 2023 general elections, top politicians and religious leaders in Delta state have vowed to bring to pass the governorship ambition of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege through massive mobilization and sensitisation of the electorate to vote for the All Progressive Congress, APC.

The leaders who lustrate themselves as Agege Political Leaders, Elders Forum, (AGULEF), emphasised on their determination to deliver the Omo-Agege during the formal inauguration of its Udu Local Government area chapter.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the group’s National chairman of AGULEF, Arch Bishop Philip Orovwodje tasked the Exco to be dedicated to the task ahead, which is winning the election for the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo Agege in the state.

Bishop Orovwodje revealed that AGULEF was formed as a support group for senator Ovie Omo Agege after he became the first Urhobo son to have acceded to the office of the Deputy Senate President.

The ceremony was held at the residence of the former minority leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Harvest Igben in Orhuwhorun town, in Udu local government area of Delta State, has the executive members drawn from all the political Ward in the local government area.

Other members of the Exco include Hon. Felix German, Chairman, Comrade Bakpa Paul, Vice Chairman, DCN Kadaji Fada, Secretary, Mrs Jagba Samuel, Treasurer, Mrs Agnes Egbi, Fin. Secretary and Mr Peterson Orugbo, Spokesman.

Also, are Mr Obite Ogaga, Organizing Sec., Mr Jonathan Koyaya, Pub Sec, Mr Ishaq Abdulhamad Forth Leader and Mrs Dolly Oruku, Women Leader.

In his inaugural address, the chairman of AGULEF, Udu local government chapter, Hon. Felix German said he was overwhelmed with joy for the privilege offered him to serve as chairman of the body.

He pleaded with leaders of AGULEF to carry other members of the body along, just as he promised to work very hard in collaboration with his Exco to achieve the goal.

Hon German furthered that AGULEF would sooner or later become a force to be reckoned with in the political history of the state.
