The crisis rocking the ruling All Progressive Congress APC over Muslim/Muslim choice of its presidential candidate, Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu has gone beyond redemption as the former Speaker Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara and Ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal have met with PDP Pillar and Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Nyesom Wike.
The meeting which took place on Saturday in the home of Governor Wike according to a source was perfect their plans to dump the ruling party for the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, next week.
Gov Wike who has been unhappy with the attitude of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Mr. Atiku Abubakar, the Party chairman, Sen Ayu, has however vowed never to leave the party, but continue to work for the progress of the party.
The visit of the APC eggheads to Rivers State is seen by political watchers as strong statement which further confirmed the strong hold of the Gov over the structure of the party across the country.
Within the last three weeks, governorship candidates from the northwestern part of Nigeria had paid courtesy visit to the strong man of PDP pledging their loyalty to the Governor, also known as Mr. Projects.
