The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Gani Adams, has raised an alarm about the worrisome spate of insecurity in the country, saying Nigeria is already sleepwalking into a collapse.
In a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Aderemi, the Yoruba generalissimo accused the Federal Government of watching while the terrorists buy more weapons to unleash terror.
“We now have a situation in which family members are being forced to raise 100 million naira to pay as ransom”.
According to him, the money is delivered to these terrorists to buy more weapons and the government is merely watching.
Adams said he has information that fully armed terrorists have made the forests in Osun and between Oyo and Ogun states, their enclave, where they are allegedly planning to attack states in the southwest.
He specifically said the terrorists are between Osu forest and Ile Ife in Osun State and in the forest between Ibadan in Oyo and Abeokuta in Ogun State.
Under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, Aare Ona Kakanfo said insecurity and the economy have reached their worst ever state.
While stating that the Yoruba are not cowards, he urge everybody in the southwest to be vigilant and be watchful in checking these insecurity scourges that are already stiff-necking Nigeria and could not let the nation breathe.
