The Socio Economic Right and Accountability Project SERAP has told the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to retrieve the money donated to Niger Republic to help them fight insecurity.
Recall that Truthlive.net earlier reported that the Federal Government on Wednesday 3rd August 2022 confirmed the approval of 1.4 Billion to Niger Republic to curb insecurities in their country.
This news has however not gone down well with Nigerians as the Academic Staff of University Union ASUU strike still linger on, unresolved, fuel hike, insecurities, inflation and others, need urgent intervention.
SERAP in their tweet on their twitter page yesterday, told the President Buhari administration to ask Niger to return the money immediately so it can be given to ASUU who have been on strike for over five months now.
They tweeted:
“The Buhari administration must immediately ask Niger Republic Authority to refund the 1.4billion approve for them to buy vehicle”
“And use the money for offset ASUU”
“So that our poor children can go back to school ”
