Over a score of casualties have been recorded in a fire accident on Tuesday in Pakistan.
According to reports by AFP, Pakistani police said that 20 people were killed and 6 injured, when a bus caught fire after colliding with an oil tanker.
The passengers were on a trip to an unreported destination and were already a couple of hours into the journey when their vehicle crashed on the outskirts of the central city of Multan.
A senior police official,Rao Zulfiqar Ali, told AFP that, “I can confirm 20 people have been killed in the incident due to the fire.
“Six other people were injured in the incident”, he added.
Photos from the scene of the accident revealed the badly burnt bus and the remains after it smashed into the back of the oil tanker.
Over the years, Pakistan has recorded huge numbers of fatal traffic accidents due to poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
