The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is a professional association of all lawyers admitted to the bar in Nigeria.
NBA had earlier invited the presidential candidates of the four leading parties (Tinubu, Kwankwaso, Atiku, and Obi) to its Annual General Conference (AGC), which was scheduled to hold in Lagos from 19th-26th of August.
According to the NBA president, the four presidential candidates will be given ample time to speak with delegates and share their visions with them at the conference.
The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu is however yet to confirm his attendance while Abubakar Atiku and Peter Obi have attended the conference
The presence of Atiku and Obi at the conference sparked some reactions as the public feels that, Tinubu who lives in Lagos should also be in attendance.
Some persons @ #Table shaker said: “If Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi can fly to Lagos to speak at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference, then what excuse can Bola Tinubu have if he does not show face there? It is happening in Lagos. He lives in Lagos. Lagos is his base. He claims to be from Lagos (although Osun…).
“The venue of the 2022 NBA Annual General Conference is exactly 5.7 kilometers from Bola Tinubu’s residence at Bourdillon, Ikoyi. Atiku flew 1400 kilometers from Yola to attend. Obi is attending. Something must be wrong somewhere if Tinubu does not attend! Why is Tinubu running away from talking to Nigerians?”
“If Tinubu fails to show up at the conference, it only means he has no vision for Nigeria, which makes him incapable of being the president of Nigeria,” others stated.
