6 Dead As Kwankwaso’s Convoy Crashes In Nasarawa

No fewer than 6 people have been confirmed dead after the convoy of the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) Dr Rabiu Musa Knwankwaso was involved in a ghastly accident while returning from Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital on Saturday.

The former governor of Kano state had visited the state to inaugurate his presidential campaign office.

It was gathered that one of the drivers of the busses conveying his supporters lost control of the steering somersaulted and four people died instantly while two later died at the hospital.

However, many other passengers in the vehicle were injured and rushed to an undisclosed hospital.

Meanwhile, Kwankwaso has condoled with the people of Nasarawa State, families of the deceased and the NNPP over the unfortunate incident

Similarly, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Addra yesterday in Lafia described the loss of lives of citizens under such circumstances as lamentable.

Governor Sule while sending his condolence message to the families and friends of the deceased as well as the leadership of the NNPP at the state and national levels prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
