A confident Inibehe Effiong, human rights lawyer recently jailed by Akwa Ibom State Chief Justice, Ekaette Obot, has taken to his Twitter pages, announcing that his recent ordeal won’t stop his activism.

Obot had Effiong thrown in jail for contempt after the lawyer observed during a court proceedings last month some alleged anomalies.

Speaking via his verified social media handle, Effiong said:

“I am back, stronger and more determined to confront the forces of oppression and to continue to speak nothing but the hard truth to the faces of the oppressors of our people.

” I feel sorry for those who thought they can break my spirit by incarcerating me.”
