Nigerian Students Evacuated From Ukraine To Continue Education In Nigerian Universities

The Federal Ministry of Education has urged the Nigerians students who were evacuated from war-torn Ukraine and willing to continue their education via Nigerians universities to indicate their interest through its website.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the permanent secretary of the ministry Andrew David Adejo on behalf of the Education Minister,

According to the statement, interested students should visit the FME website  on www.education.gov.ng (https://fsbn.com.ng/returning) and complete the attached template.

“Please those 354 returnee students that responded to the earlier advertisement by MFA need not respond,” the statement explained.

Furthermore, the statement added that the move became necessary to provide opportunity for those returnee students who were not able to indicate interest in the earlier reference advertisement.

“All interested students are by this advertisement requested to do so within three (3) weeks from the date of the publication.”

Truthlive.net had reported that at least 301 were evacuated from Ukraine in the first batch amid the war.

Earlier, the Nigerian government approved the release of 8.5 million dollars for the immediate evacuation of at least 5,000 Nigerians fleeing the Russian-Ukrainian conflict zone.
