Amazon founder and renowned Billionaire, Jeff Bezos has berated Nigerian-born US professor, Uju Anya over a derogatory tweet about late Queen Elizabeth II few hours to her demise.
Hours after the royal family disclosed that the Queen was under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, Prof. Anya, prayed the queen had an ‘excruciating’ death.
Although her tweet has been taken down, several tweeps who are still reacting to her gruesome comment condemned such statement from a supposedly respected member of the society and someone highly place as herself.
Reacting to her tweet, Bezos said, “This is someone supposedly working to make the world better? I don’t think so, Wow”
Replying the Amazon founder, Anya who defended her tweet insisted on her earlier position saying, “Otoro gba gbue gi, May everyone you and your merciless greed have harmed in this world remember you as fondly as I remember my colonizers.”
In a preceding tweet, the Carnegie Mellon professor said, “If anyone expects me to express anything but disdain for the monarch who supervised a government that sponsored the genocide that massacred and displaced half my family and the consequences of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can keep wishing upon a star.”
