Ilorin, state capital of Kwara, is currently buzzing over reports of certain Ibrahim Hasssan, who sedated and later strangulated his own father just have access to his ATM Card.
Currently in the custody of the police in Kwara, Hassan is the son, biological, of Sabi Ibrahim, a 90 years old retired army corporal.
According to police account made available to Truthlive.net, Aishat, Hassan’s sister from the same father, had last month, reported that the father was missing.
“The circumstances of Ibrahim’s disappearance elicited suspicion so we investigated it,” said Ajayi Okasanmi, SP, spokesman for the state police command.

During investigation, the suspect confessed to have administered paracetamol injection mixed with other substances on his father, who became weak and dizzy immediately after the injection, this he did after coming from the bank where he took his father to renew and collect his ATM card.
The son later took the father on a borrowed motorcycle to an isolated uncompleted building and strangulated him.
He then dug a shallow grave where he buried his father after dispossessing him of the Wema Bank ATM card they went to the bank to collect.
“Hassan escaped to Kaduna state and started withdrawing from his late father’s account.
“He withdrew a total sum of #59,000.
“He stated further that the purpose of killing his father was to dispossess him of the ATM card since he already knew the pin.
“He also sold the borrowed motorcycle and ran to Kaduna state where he was eventually arrested,” Okasanmi said.
The ATM card and the stolen motorcycle have been recovered, the police said.
