Residents of Ringim community in Plateau state are reportedly fond of extorting money from motorists traveling to other places through the community.
In a video seen by truthlive.net, travelers were lamenting over the pathetic experience.
According to one of the travelers, the villagers blocked the road and were digging the road to prevent vehicles from passing. They were also extorting money from drivers.
It was reported that when Military men came, the villagers started provoking the soldiers. One of them went as far as slapping one of the soldiers who was with a gun. However, the soldier did not reciprocate or say anything because there women and children on the road.
The road was cleared up for access for the helpless motorists when back up soldiers came and stopped the villagers from the extortion.
