In a momentous event that unfolded on Thursday, the community of Gwagwalada in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) bestowed the revered traditional title of “Sarkin Yaki” (Warlord) on the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. The announcement was made by the Aguma of Gwagwalada, Chief Mohammad Magaji, during the inauguration ceremony of the emergency construction and rehabilitation project for the nine-kilometre Paikon Kore – Ibwa Road within the area council.
The occasion marked a confluence of tradition and development, as the community recognized and honored Minister Nyesom Wike for his unwavering commitment to infrastructure enhancement and community welfare.
Chief Magaji, in his statement, expressed the community’s gratitude for the minister’s dedication to addressing the infrastructural needs of Gwagwalada.
