Nollywood Actress, Georgina Chigozie Onuoha has expressed joy and gladness over the conviction of former senator, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice Ekweremadu in the United Kingdom (UK).
Recall that Truthlivenews earlier reported that Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice were charged with organ harvesting in the cause of saving their ailing daughter, Sonia Ekeweremadu in March, 2023.
After several procedures were taken by the UK court, Ekweremadu, his wife and the family Doctor, Obinna Obeta were charged with Organ harvesting and were all sentenced to jail, On May 5th.
The Nollywood star took to her verified Instagram page to express joy over their conviction and gave her reasons.
According to the Georgina, Ekweremadu was once a senator in his state, who embezzled public funds, even some which was meant to be used for the construction of health facilities in the state.
She also prayed and hoped that the UK court extends his imprisonment so other Nigerian politicians who neglect healthcare system in the country can learn.
Though she expressed concern for Ekweremadu’s ailing daughter, Sonia and prayed God gives her a divine healing.
