Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has recruited 1,150 Amotekun Corps to boost the security architecture of the state.
In his speech at the passing-out parade of the corps at the NYS orientation camp, Ede, on Friday, he disclosed that the amended law has provided opportunities to be a rewarding member of the security architecture.
He challenged the newly trained corps to work in synergy with other security operatives to ensure success in securing the lives of the people of the state.
According to him “In line with our administration’s commitment to the security of lives and properties, I assure the leadership and the rank and file of the service that our administration is focused on full execution of the upgrade agenda. We will provide you with the required tools to work.
“I am also glad to note that the service now has a sound legal framework. The amended law has removed loopholes in the previous enactment.
“Under the new legal structure, the service has a full range of opportunities to be a rewarding one at that”
