The saying that once beaten, twice shy has been strictly adhered to by the embattled deputy governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu as he was said to have breezed in at the 60th Anniversary Of Midwest Referendum currently going on at the Sir Victor Uwaifo’s Creative Hub, Benin City, Edo State and left immediately.
Sources said that he has chosen to apply his wisdom probably to avoid the kind of embarrassment and humiliation meted to him yesterday at the Thanksgiving service held in honour of the 32nd anniversary of the state.
The rumour making the rounds say that the deputy governor was barred by the governor’s security details from seeing him at 32nd anniversary of the state.
However Truth Live News is still waiting to hear any comments from the state government or the deputy governor himself, refuting if actually he was actually barred from having a hand shake with the governor yesterday or not.
With this current twist of event, the end to this political feud is not in sight at all.
Some political thinkers are saying that with such kind of treatment served the deputy governor yesterday, it is one of the sure ways of telling him that his presence and contributions to the current administration are no longer needed as long as he has chosen to pursue his political ambition of becoming the governor of the state come 2024.
