Again, Ex-Governor Dumps PDP

In a surprising turn of events, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, the former Governor of Kaduna State, has officially resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Yero, known by his title “Dallatun Zazzau,” sent a letter of resignation to the ward Chairman of the PDP in Kaura ward, Kaura, Zaria Local Government, Kaduna State.

In his letter dated September 30, 2023, Yero expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and extended sincere greetings before formally announcing his decision to sever ties with the PDP. He tendered his resignation as a member of the party, effective immediately, and enclosed his Party Membership card as a symbol of his departure.

Yero’s resignation carries substantial political weight, given his prominent role as a former Governor of Kaduna State. It has sparked speculation about his future political affiliations and possible motivations for leaving the PDP, a party with which he has been long associated.

This development also comes at a crucial juncture in Kaduna state politics, as the court verdict of the gubernatorial election did not Favour PDP that has been 8 years in opposition for the first time ever .
