Israel Defense Forces announced the extension of a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas to a seventh day, just minutes before its expiration on Thursday morning.
This marks the second extension following the initial four-day truce that commenced on Friday.
During this ceasefire, 70 Israelis have returned under the agreement, while three dual-national Israeli citizens and twenty-four foreign nationals have been released outside the terms of the deal. In return, 210 Palestinians held in Israeli jails have been freed, according to officials.
Amid ongoing negotiations for the release of more hostages, Israel Defense Forces confirmed the continuation of the “operational pause.”
