The Governor of Akwa Ibom State Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has reiterated the fact the warehouse where the palliatives are kept was built in his village by divine providence.

Governor Eno was speaking on Wednesday during the flag-off of distribution of palliatives at Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA, south south Nigeria.

While stating that he would like to explain so that critics don’t begin to say that he has taken palliatives to his village, the Governor said,“Permit me to note that we are here in Ikot Ekpene Udo by divine providence.”

He said he would not have loved to come his village to flag off this event for so many reasons but God has made it so.

He explained, “The warehouse standing behind us was not constructed by this administration. It was constructed by the last administration. The original place where this warehouse was supposed to go to rejected the warehouse.”

Eno went further to say that they didn’t even want to understand the dynamics behind the warehouse.

“So, the then governor said that I can take the warehouse to my village provided we would not be asking for compensation for the land,” he continued.

” So, we brought this warehouse and we thank God that this warehouse is here. It is a cassava processing warehouse.”

“We are here in our village and God knew at that time that one day we would be needing this warehouse for a state assignment.”

He said he believes that so far this is the only warehouse in this state they can actually look and say this is a warehouse owned by government.

Governmment house media unit reports that the governor expressed gratitude to God that Ikot Ekpene Udo is better for it and rhetorically asked that if it is in Ikot Ekpene Udo why don’t they just use it?
