UYO – Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, and the Lekoil Nigeria Limited, have agreed to work in partnership for the development of the state.
On January 21, 2025, during a courtesy visit by the management of the company in Government House, Uyo, the Governor declared. “Will provide the necessary support to Lekoil Nigeria Ltd in its quest to invest in the state.”
According to the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Ekerette Udoh, he expressed hope that its investment will contribute to the development of the state and create employment opportunities for its youths.
On social media post, Udoh said the state is equally interested in one of the subsidiaries of Cambridge Growth Partners, Cambridge Harvest, whose focus is on sustainable and efficient agricultural practices.
“Agriculture, which is a key pillar of the ARISE Agenda, is committed to partnerships that will help actualize the vision of the agenda,” said Pastor Eno.
During the visit, he also informed his partner of the existing state employment portal. He said, will assist them in accessing the caliber of staff needed for its operations.
Truth Live News gathered that the Chief Executive Officer of Lekoil, Lekan Akinyanmi, himself said. “As an African-oil and gas exploration and production company, it has a comprehensive development master plan and interest to invest in Akwa Ibom state.”
Lekoil is a portfolio company of Cambridge Growth Partners, which also owns OakGold, Cambridge LNG, Cambridge Energy, Cambridge Harvest, CGP-1 Fund, and Blink Studios.
