Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Ajax Brazilian winger Antony and are planning a new £80 million bid this week, according to the Sun.
United are scrambling to bolster new manager Erik ten Hag’s squad, especially after a poor start to the season.
United were defeated 2-1 at Old Trafford by Brighton and Hove Albion in their Premier League opener.
They were then humiliated 4-0 at Brentford.
Antony wants to join United and didn’t train on Saturday, so he missed Sunday’s 1-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam.
And, according to Nicolo Schira, United have already reached an agreement with Antony on personal terms.
The Brazilian star, 22, has agreed to a five-year deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2027.
United is also preparing a new £80 million bid to entice Ajax to sell and expects to complete the transfer this week.
