A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Esan Central, Mr. Evans Ilozobhie, has withdrawn his support for Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate in Edo State.

Ilozobhie, an international businessman from Opoji, announced his decision during an online political chat, expressing his admiration for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo.

Ilozobhie cited Ighodalo’s godly, honest, humble, and peaceful disposition as the key factors behind his change of heart. He vowed to mobilize massive support for the PDP in the upcoming governorship election, marking a significant shift in the political landscape of Edo State.

In a scathing critique, Ilozobhie lambasted Senator Adams Oshiomhole for attempting to impose a candidate on the people of Edo State through what he described as lies and propaganda. “I am not sure Oshiomole is in any way better than Tinubu in terms of his mental status. He thinks the Edo people can be fooled by his noise on social media. Not again,” Ilozobhie stated.

He continued, “What he is selling to the Edo people right now is something he won’t even buy in an open market. The reason he is selling it is only for his personal gains. Let him just forget about it.”

Reflecting on his decision, Ilozobhie revealed that after a thorough evaluation of the two candidates, he chose to align with Dr. Asue Ighodalo. “Dr. Asue is the man to follow,” he concluded.
