Massive defection rocked the All Progressive Congress APC in Cross Rivers state as the reconciliation committee Chairman Dr. Pius Tawo and SA to Governor Ben Ayade on Public Health, Comrade Ibangha Victor and their followers, decamped to the People’s Democratic party (PDP), over the weekend.
In Nsofang community, Etung Local Government Area of the state, reports have it that those who also decamped from the All Progressive Congress (APC) to PDP include; former Councillor, APC Ward Chairman, Personal Assistant to Governor Ben Ayade.
According to the report, thousands of APC supporters in Ohana-Obubra Local Government Area and Ofutup-Ikom Local Government Area earlier defected to the PDP over the weekend.
The wind of defection has continued to blow in the ruling APC, considering the fact that hundreds of its supporters have declared support for the PDP governorship candidate, Senator Sandy Onor.
