Candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi and Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Atiku Abubakar have on Friday, secured leave of the Court of Appeal to have access to all the sensitive materials the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, used for the conduct of the presidential election that held on February 25.
Recall that Truth Live News had earlier reported that both candidates approached the court after they both refused to concede defeat and also vowed to recover their stolen mandate.
The appellate court sitting in Abuja on Friday March 3 ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to grant Obi and Atiku access to the sensitive election materials deployed in the presidential election.
Justice Joseph Ikyegh-led panel of the appellate court, which will also sit as the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, granted the request after it heard two separate ex-parte applications brought by the Obi, Atiku and their political parties.
