Archbishop JohnPraise Daniel Champions Nigeria’s Tourism Potential at UN Event

The launch of the UN NetZero Facility and Re-PLANET Capital Fund Ecosystem was a significant move by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in partnership with NOAH Regen.

This event marked a crucial milestone in the global fight against climate change, building on the momentum generated by the Paris Agreement and took place at the United Nations Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland on the 14th of November 2023.

Among the distinguished delegates was Archbishop JohnPraise Daniel, the National Deputy President of PFN, who expressed Nigeria’s untapped potential in tourism.

He emphasized the need for enhanced security, improved tourism infrastructure, and a conducive business environment to elevate tourism’s role in Nigeria’s GDP, aligning with successful models in other African nations.

Though Lai Mohammed, the Special Adviser to the President on WTO, was unavoidably absent, his representation was ensured through His Grace and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Amb Abiodun Richard Adejola.

During his visit, Archbishop Daniel was enthusiastic about collaborating with key global figures such as the Secretary General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) , Mary E. Flowers, CEO/Managing Director of the Global Green Development Group and the longest-serving African-American legislator in Illinois, spanning 33 years and Georges Cohen, the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Grenada to the United Nations.

In essence, the launch of the UN NetZero Facility and Re-PLANET Capital Fund Ecosystem not only showcased a united front against climate change but also facilitated international collaboration among influential figures in politics, tourism, and development, fostering a shared commitment to sustainable practices and economic advancement.

Archbishop JohnPraise was applauded for his deep passion for Nigeria, investing his personal funds to promote the country and attract investors on the global stage.
