Arsenal star Kai Havertz has disclosed that he considers himself a natural striker, despite playing in various positions since joining the Emirates Stadium last year.
Havertz has demonstrated his versatility by playing as a number 10, number 8, winger, and central striker.
However, he now identifies as a number 9, clarifying that he doesn’t mean the traditional center-forward role.
The German attacking midfielder, in a recent interview with Welt am Sonntag, explained that modern football has evolved, and strikers like Erling Haaland and Harry Kane don’t just wait for opportunities in the box, instead, they make deep runs and create chances.
Havertz expressed his enjoyment in making runs behind the defense to showcase his adaptability and willingness to contribute to Arsenal’s attack in various ways.
