Atiku Abandoned Jonathan In 2015 Despite Plea For Support – Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has disclosed how the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar vehemently refused to support former President Goodluck Jonathan during his re-election bid in 2015.

According to Gov Wike, Jonathan had pleaded with former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar to support his re-election bid in 2015 but the latter refused.

Wike revealed that Jonathan traveled to the Dorchester Hotel in London to meet Atiku to solicit his support in 2015, Atiku refused to heed his plea but rather told Jonathan to relinquish his ticket to him.

The governor spoke when Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State commissioned the Akpabu-Itu-Umudiogha road in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers.

Recall that Jonathan, who was the PDP presidential candidate in 2015, was defeated at the polls by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Meanwhile, Truth Live News had recently reported that Atiku and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, visited Jonathan in Abuja, to solicit his support ahead of the upcoming presidential election.
