The special adviser, Media and publicity to the Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade, Barr Christian Ita says their attention has been drawn to a video circulating on the social media about the former Governor of the state Senator Liyel Imoke.
In a press release dated 11th of January 2023, signed by him and circulated on the social media, Ita is quoted to say, that the Governor Ayade is unwilling to join issues with his predecessor.
According to him, the Governor has decided to take what he described as the ‘moral high ground’ which is what is making him unwilling to join issue with Imoke over the viral video.
Although, the issue and the identity of the video were not mentioned in the press release but in part the release reads; “Our attention has been drawn to a video circulating on the social media about a former Governor of the state, His Excellency Senator Liyel Imoke.
“We wish to state that his Excellency the state governor, Prof Ben Ayade, has decided to take the moral high ground and therefore, will not join issue with the former governor.”
You would recall that earlier in the week, Truth Live News reported that Imoke lambasted Ayade over alleged bribe of N2 billion and asked for forgiveness on his mistakes.
