A governorship aspirant on the platform of Labour Party (LP) in Edo state, Dr. Azemhe Azena has congratulated the first civilian governor of Edo state, Chief John Odigie Oyegun as he clocks 84 years adding that he still remains the nation’s beacon of hope.
The preacher cum politician in his congratulatory message, signed and made available to newsmen in Benin City, described the elder-statesman as a man of impeccable character.
According to Dr. Azemhe Azena, “Chief John Odigie Oyegun is a born leader who didn’t just govern Edo State but also rose to become the national chairman of a frontline party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He commended him for his foresight, courage, doggedness and vision that has been visible in all his years of service to the nation.
The philantroplist equally described Chief John Odigie Oyegun, as a beacon of hope, and a die-hard nationalist in the nation’s political arena who has impacted on so many lives adding that his ideology to public service is what many are following today.
