BAYELSA – Few hours to the governorship election in Bayelsa State, south-south Nigeria, residents have expressed readiness for the election.
When questioned by Truth Live News correspondent about the security situation, some persons stated that there is typically a perceived threat during elections, and security personnel are present to address any issues.
However, they refrained from specifying which party poses the potential threat. Others described the state as cool and calm, with no cause for alarm.
Despite this, they urged the electorate to come out in mass and vote their choice candidates and they should also be wise in choosing who will govern them through the next 4 years.
Mrs. Theresa, a local resident, shared that the lack of power supply for more than one month in the Kefau and Agudama communities in Yenegoa Local Government area is one of the reasons motivating her vote and the government’s failure to fulfill electioneering promises to the people.
