Bendel Insurance Football Club are 3 points away from making a return to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPLF) from the Nigerian National League (NNL) as they’re seven points clear at the top of their league and have three games at hand.
The Bendel Insurance FC are comfortable at where they stand on the league table after beating Gateway United Football Club four to nill yesterday to claim additional points.
A win against Ikorodu City in Benin on Wednesday evening will confirm their NPFL status officially as they’re currently seven points clear ahead of their counterpart, Gateway FC who are second in the table with 36 points.
Although, this reality can turn sour if Bendel Insurance FC lost the three matches at hand and their closest counterpart, Gateway FC win all their remaining three games.
This will push down Bendel Insurance FC into the second position which will place them in a position of playing play-offs with other NNL clubs that come second in their division.
This will sure be a rough path to victory as the Bendel Insurance FC would have to shed their skins to pull through the heat to qualify for the NPLF promotion.
