Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno has felicitated the Chief Medical Director of University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Prof. Emem Abasi Bassey on the occasion of his birthday.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ekerete Udoh, say he is a thorough-bred professional whose medical and administrative expertise have helped make the UUTH a centre for medical excellence.
In a release, Udoh quoted the Governor “On behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, I join in celebrating you today on the occasion of your birthday.”
On one hand, he said he has no doubt that Prof. Bassey have packed in so much accomplishments.
For instance, he said both professionally as a physician and in public service, he has served the State as Honourable Commissioner for Health.
On the other hand, he said the CMD of the UUTH have brought his professional training and administrative skills to reposition the hospital as a great centre for learning and medical excellence.
Accordingly, “As you celebrate your birthday today, I pray for more growth, blessings and Grace from the Almighty God,” Gov. Eno prayed.
“Once again, Happy Birthday our Prof,” He added.
Prof. Emem Abasi Bassey hails from Eket local government area and is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Prof. Bassey is the Chairman, Committee of Chief Medical Directors of Nigeria.
He is on his second term as Chief Medical Director of University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
