Popular Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday (NBS) has expressed frustration over losing multiple brand endorsement opportunities due to her past online controversies.

The actress, known for her outspoken nature and social media disputes, admitted that she now regrets some of her actions. She explained that her history of public feuds, particularly with former partners, appears to have negatively impacted her professional reputation.

In an emotional video shared on her official Instagram page, Nkechi Blessing revealed that while some brands initially express interest in working with her, they later withdraw after seeking third-party opinions. She clarified that her past online controversies were often reactions to negative portrayals by ex-partners rather than deliberate attempts to create drama.

According to her, she has never intentionally dragged anyone online but only responded when she felt attacked. However, she now faces the consequences, as potential business collaborations slip away due to her perceived online persona.

“Before whatever relationship I had that went viral online, I had several relationships that never even made it to the internet. But because of that one publicized relationship, people now judge me based on it.”

“Why am I saying this? I meet people who genuinely like me and want to help—not in a romantic way, just normal people who see potential in me. But in life, when you want to do business or enter into any form of partnership, you seek opinions from others. That’s when they hear things like, ‘Ah! Run away from her o, she will drag you online.’ Why? I’m not blaming anyone because I know I caused this myself, but the truth is, I never intended for my past relationships to become public scandals. By the time they became topics online, I had already moved on with my life.”

“I won’t allow someone to tarnish my image without defending myself. But if it were now, I would probably ignore it because I am focusing on positivity. Still, this perception is affecting me. Imagine someone wants to work with me, but after seeking a third-party opinion, they hear, ‘That controversial girl! She’s not someone you can work with.’”

“I can’t take it anymore—it is enough! I know I made people see me this way, but that is not who I am. Allow me to have friends and business partners in peace. Let them get to know me for themselves. If I truly am the bad person the internet claims I am, let them experience it firsthand. If not for the grace of God, I wouldn’t even have food to eat because I know how many deals I’ve lost. But by God’s grace, I keep going. Enough is enough! At least, for the past two years, I have shown signs of change.”

Nkechi Blessing’s emotional plea highlights the challenges celebrities face when past online actions affect their future opportunities. She hopes to move forward and be judged by her present character rather than past controversies.
