BREAKING: 100 Kidnapped in Zamfara Village

Armed bandits on Friday abducted over 100 persons, mostly women and children in the Maru Local Government Area.
The residents revealed that a notorious bandit kingpin named Damina has imposed a staggering “harvesting levy” of N110 million naira on local communities. Mutumji faces a N50 million levy, Kwanar Dutsi N30 million, Sabongari Mahuta N20 million, and Unguwar Kawo N10 million, creating an atmosphere of fear and urgency.

These communities, facing an ultimatum of two weeks, began mobilizing the funds when terrorists launched a sudden invasion on Friday evening. This alarming incident follows closely on the heels of a previous abduction in Ruwandoruwa community, where 15 individuals were taken captive just a week ago.

TruthLive News reports that despite the gravity of the situation, attempts to obtain reactions from the state government and local police authorities have proven unsuccessful, leaving the affected residents in a state of vulnerability and uncertainty.

The latest abduction was barely a week after 15 persons were abducted in Ruwandoruwa community of same local government.

Sadly, there has been over 1,300 kidnappings in Zamfara state in the last 3 years
