BREAKING: All Spanish Women’s Players Resign Over Kissing Scandal

After Luis Rubiales assured that he does not plan to resign for his scorching performance in the Women’s World Cup final, the 23 world champions with Spain and 58 other footballers have declared their support for Jennifer Hermoso (who also denied everything Rubiales declared) and have resigned to any call of ‘La Fury Roja’ while Rubiales and the rest of their managers continue ahead of the Real Spanish Football Federation.

The statement reads, “In the wake of the events that happened this morning and in front of the perplexity of the speech made by the president of the Real Spanish FootbalI Federation, D. Luis Manuel Rubiales Béjar, the players of the absolute selection, recent world champions, in support of Jennifer Hermoso, want to express their firm and resolute condemnation of behavior that have attacked the dignity of women.

In view of the demonstrations carried out by the president of the Real Spanish Football Federation, Jennifer Hermoso wants to bluntly deny that she indulged the kiss she proposed D. Luis Manuel Rubiales Bejar in the World Cup Final. “I want to clarify, that, as seen in the images, at no time did I consent to the kiss that was proposed to me and of course, in no case did I seek to raise the president. I don’t tolerate my word being questioned and much less inventing words that I haven’t said.”

From our union we want to point out that no woman should be seen in the need to answer to the Overwhelming images that everyone has seen and of course, they should not be seen involved in unintended attitudes.

The players of the Spanish National
Football Team, current world champions, await overwhelming answers from the public authorities so that actions are not unpunished like the contents.

We want to finish this statement, asking for real structural changes, that help the Absolute Selection to continue growing, to be able to pass on this great success to future generations. It fills us with sadness that such an unacceptable fact is managing to tarnish the greatest sporting success of Spanish women’s football.

“After all that happened during the medal ceremony of the Women’s World Cup, we want to state that all the players who sign this writing will not return to a call of the National team if they continue with the Current leaders.”
