Chelsea Football Club have opened talks with former Chelsea Legend and coach, Frank Lampard as possible replacement for Graham Potter who was sacked earlier this weekend.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are in concrete talks to appoint Frank Lampard as caretaker manager on a short deal valid until June.
Romano noted that direct negotiations have ensued between Chelsea and the former Everton manager.
Chelsea are considering handing over Chelsea to Lampard until end of the season before either Luis Enrique or Julian Nagelsmann take over.
He said, “Chelsea are in concrete talks to appoint Frank Lampard as caretaker manager on short deal valid until June.
Talks continue with Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique as main options for the future but Lampard could be in charge until end of the season.
Direct negotiations are already taking place on Lampard side with his agents discussing with Chelsea.
Lampard, keen on the job and happy to accept.
Final decision up to Chelsea board and owners as new long-term coach appointment could happen in May/June.”
