The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested business executive and socialite Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu at the Abuja Airport.
Her legal team revealed that Achimugu was arrested around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, shortly after arriving in the country from London.
Achimugu’s lawyer had previously informed the Federal High Court in Abuja that she would visit the EFCC in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged criminal conspiracy and money laundering.
Justice Inyang Ekwo had ordered Achimugu to appear before the EFCC on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, to respond to allegations related to the investigation.
The court had also directed her to be present on April 30, 2025, to continue proceedings in the matter.
