The Westminster magistrate court in the UK on Thursday ruled that David Ukpo, a purported kidney donor for the daughter of Ike Ekweremadu, former deputy senate president, is not a minor.
The UK court ruled when Ekweremadu, aand Beatrice, his wife, appeared before it for trial on Thursday.
Ekweremadu and his wife are facing charges bordering on conspiracy to arrange/facilitate the travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.
David Ukpo had claimed that he was 15, while other documents including his Nigerian passport showed he is actually 21.
