Member of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees, BoT, Chief Bode George has admonished his party’s presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar to suspend his campaign and empathize with Nigerians currently traumatized over the flooding disaster that has happened to many communities across Nigeria.

Bode George while speaking on Channels Television’s program, Sunday Politics, which was duly monitored by Truth Live News, hailed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi who has suspended his campaigns and been going around visiting states where floods have wreaked havoc on the citizens.

Peter Obi suggested that his fellow presidential candidates suspend their campaigns and show some concern for disaster victims.

Truth Live News recalls that Peter Obi was in Bayelsa state on Saturday showing empathy, going on the boat with the governor of the state, and visiting the affected areas, his counterpart in the PDP, Atiku Abubakar was in the neighbouring state of Edo, campaigning and seeking for votes.

According to Bode George, “if you cannot show empathy to those who are currently going through pains for their losses at this point, when are you going to show it?”.

“These are the same people you are going to ask for votes from, some people have lost their family members in this disaster, some lost their properties and I don’t see anything wrong if my party can emulate Peter Obi by suspending campaigns for two or three days and visit some of these victims.”
